David Suzuki says pipelines will be ‘blown up’ if leaders don’t act on climate change

Last I heard, encouraging acts of terrorism was still illegal in Canada? :confused0024:

"A renowned environmental activist has a stern warning to politicians and global leaders if they fail to act on climate change.

“There are going to be pipelines blowing up if our leaders don’t pay attention to what’s going on,” David Suzuki told CHEK News..."

He should be investigated for reckless incitement with potential to cause an environmental catastrophe.

He's just sore because Greta is upstaging him and nobody brought him up at cop26

elkhunter11 11-21-2021 04:38 PM

He is a senile old fool, but he should be thoroughly investigated for what he said.

C2C3PO 11-21-2021 04:42 PM

Just another hypocrite who is all too happy to take what Canada has to offer and stabs us in the back at every opportunity.

Here's an excerpt from an old Sun article called "David Suzuki a man of property"

OTTAWA — Green sage David Suzuki has some expensive tastes for someone who wants to shut down the carbon economy within a generation.

QMI Agency has learned that Suzuki, who's made a name for himself fighting for the environment and against development, owns four homes, including one property he co-owns with a fossil fuels company.

His primary abode is a sprawling mansion in the Kitsilano neighbourhood of Vancouver, worth approximately $8.2 million.

At Occupy Vancouver, Suzuki extolled the virtues of his anti-corporate agenda and condemned excess.

He owns another slightly more modest property in the Kitsilano neighbourhood. Its value is listed as $1.01 million.

Suzuki owns a waterfront property on the Quadra Island area off the B.C. coast, that appears from photos to be something of a cottage getaway, complete with boat dock. The property is valued at $1.1 million.

Perhaps most interesting is a property on Nelson Island of which Suzuki is one of several co-owners listed on a B.C. land title registry, another of which includes Kootenay Oil Distributors.

Nelson Island is predominantly forested with little economic activity and a tiny permanent population.

He's just another hypocrite.

This old fossil will have a great legacy when his gone. As diesel for my truck.

glen moa 11-21-2021 05:28 PM

Will the people blow up the pipeline that feeds their own area?

bat119 11-21-2021 05:32 PM

Another guy that doesn't know all his food comes off a truck

Why travel and burn fossil fuel to go to a local pipeline and blow it up, when they can blow up the greenhouse gas spewing Furnace in their own house?

That way they don't even have to leave their house! Good a place to start as any, right?

Not that I want that POS in Alberta, he'd look good in Webo's cell.
Better yet, under a daisy...

Ranets 11-21-2021 06:58 PM

He is also an extremely hypocritical P.O.S. whom 8 years I saw driving a 5.0 litre Mustang on Quadra Island, B.C., not exactly the most environmentally friendly vehicle

jafo 11-21-2021 07:00 PM

This man is the biggest hypocrite around, preaches flooding but has ocean side housing. We can only hope he gets what he says is coming. David sure likes to talk about environment and all the stuff damaging it but until he lives in a log cabin/sod hut with no power, no electricity or gas he should mind his own business and the media should ignore him. My 2 cents. Arrest him for domestic terrorism and throw away the key.

We are gonna have to build a bigger train station......

MEHHHH ......... Watch the clip - he's not inciting anything, he's trying to get in front of the camera because he must be feeling lonely and needs some spotlight.

This is making a mountain of a mole hill here (claiming he's inciting anything) and acting like snowflakes being offended and exaggerating everything here .... Suzuki is a hypocrite and nobody listens to him. Even the hippies and tree huggers know he is irrelevant.

He's just making a statement to try to return to relevancy. Big deal.

HunterDave 11-21-2021 09:34 PM

Misquoted.

“There are going to be pipelines blowing up if our leaders don’t pay attention to what’s going on,” David Suzuki told CHEK News on Saturday without elaborating further.

I watched the video several times and I kept hearing “BLOWN” up, not “BLOWING” up!

I consider that inciting violence and he needs to be taken to task for an explanation and clarification of his comment.

Train station would fix lots, free rides given here

Pioneer2 11-21-2021 10:37 PM

Just another methane dispenser

David Suzuki .........Canada's Joseph Goebbels

David Suzuki could make a lot of money helping the farm community.
Put him in the middle of field in the spring, let him start talking, just like having your own personal chinook, all the snow would go away and everything would be well fertilized.
It is a mystery how this guy has any credibility left at all.

AlbertanGP 11-22-2021 08:01 AM

"We" don't want a pipeline because we are concerned it may leak and cause environmental damage. If you don't shut it down, we will blow it up and make sure it causes environmental damage. Sounds like typical left thinking logic. lol. :rolleye2:

gunluvr 11-22-2021 08:38 AM

Suzuki's fame came before there was cable TV and some people actually watched the CBC. A washed up has-been from dinosaur times. Funded by uno-who.
His threats of pipeline terrorism are poorly thought out and pathetic grasps for attention.
Don't give him the satisfaction.

It's the Convenient Truth to overlook that.

Quadrapods are a bunch of granola munching leaf lickers for the most part and they still pretty much all hate Suzuki. I’ve got family on the rock and have heard a few stories about the douche.

Credibility??? you want credibility, just look at what it takes to be Crime Minister of this once great country. These clowns are masters of spin and BS.

Bigwoodsman 11-22-2021 12:36 PM

Suzuki is an 85 year old man looking for an audience. He obviously found one and incites a certain group type style. Fortunately he has more years behind him than ahead of him. He says this at a time when his own province is under duress from mother nature. The flooding has nothing to really do with climate change and more to do with man draining a lake and building on a flood plain. He's too old to recognize this.

He should be investigated for these remarks and be held accountable if any pipeline vandalism occurs within NA.

Drewski Canuck 11-22-2021 01:45 PM

David Suzuki, what some guys will do when their ratings are slipping!

Oh by the way, did anyone see David Suzuki volunteering to help out the flood victims, or maybe make a large CASH DONATION for the people affected by the flooding?

You would think he would do that, right?

After all saving your fellow man should be first before saving the planet.

If we forced him to be "green" - meaning no products from petroleum (plastics, plywood. metals, etc), no transportation dependent on fuel deprived from oil or mineral mining just walking, no modern synthetic clothing just natural furs which he may not obtain with firearms, no electricity, no automatic hydrocarbon heating of his houses, no electronics to grandstand with, definitely no flying, no cameras to put him on the "news" or you tube; or any other modern conveniences from our industrial society, then Darwin would deal with him in less than a day - and good riddance.

He knows it and doesn't care. He also knows his audience, and who paid for his $8 000 000 mansion and $1 000 000 cottage.
