How to get what you want for christmas!

Howdy folks,
Here's a tip for ya. A buddy of mine works at the new UFA in Red Deer. This is the only UFA store that sells hunting, fishing & camping stuff.

My buddy just tipped me off that they are having a special night promotion called LADIES NIGHT on Dec. 4th. Apparently there will be tonnes of factory reps on hand to talk to and he tells me there are a barrel full of door prizes for the ladies to win. Including a rifle! He said they are dropping a schwack of prices for that night only.

So needless to say my wife and I are making the drive to Red Deer on that night! Even if nothing more then to eat their free snacks, talk hunting/fishing and try and win me some stuff! I'm told there are some freebies from these reps too...

P.S. Buddy tells me if your wife/girl friend doesn't have a firearms licence she is allowed to write your name down on the entry form for the rifle. Rumor has it the rifle is a Ruger #1! one of my favourite guns!!!

Just don't anyone win that darn thing but me, K?

Fort UFA

The Fort Saskatchewan UFA sells ammunition as well as knifes and good quality outdoor clothing as well. I dont think the Red Deer store is the only one that sells hunting stuff

Not to be a *****,.. but your first post is an advertisement,.. are you trying to get people to attend.

Hmmm...first post...even if this is legit, it still reeks of free advertising

Good info thanks alot,

Also, on December 1, from 9-11 am, Bob Izumi will be here for a meet and greet if anyone is interested in meeting him. The poster behind me says "Coffee and snacks courtesy of Tim Horton's"

Lump of coal

Careful James you don't want to advertise too...

I usually post on Alberta Fishing's board only noticed this one by flipping through an old A.O. magazine one night.

PDFISH & EYESWIDESHUT:
I tell ya what. Teach me a lesson and just don't go.
I don't really care...

If I was trying to advertise I'd advertise my own business.

James M 11-24-2008 06:44 PM

I'm not "advertising".....just thought I'd give a heads up for people that may want to meet him.

James M 11-24-2008 06:57 PM

Just noticed now you were being sarcastic....ignore my comment above.

The day I get married is the day deer grow wings and I need birdshot to hunt them.

I can't see why an employee would feel the need to be a snake and get some free advertizing.

Thanks for thinking of us Castincowboy:wave:

I've learned to achieve this I have to write a list for my wife, including where to get it, how much it costs and give her the money to buy the stuff with a little left over. Works everytime.

SkytopBrewster 11-24-2008 11:48 PM

Wife spares no expense christmas shopping on my visa. Knowing youre gonna have to work overtime to pay for your own gift does not make me look forward to Xmas. I spent enough going into hunting season, new boots, trail cams, rifle, scope, treestand only to have to go back to work and miss the best part of rifle season. We should move X-mas to October 1st

I figured most people would show up for free coffee....and not to meet what's his name. I'm sure a lot of people love him but I love Tim Horton's coffee along with the rest of Canada.

What most of us hunters and fisherpeople lack is communications. Like have you ever said "I wish I knew that gunshow was last week" or "If I had know that Wild Game Banquet was Saturday I would have got tickets" I want to thank "Castincowboy" for what is going on in Red Deer that day. Who cares if it is advertising for the store that now owns Wholesale Sports.:innocent: I forget which thread I read that on.

Castincowboy 11-25-2008 05:40 PM

Finally...

Hey all hunters and fisherman are alike we all like gettin' the stuff we need/want to enjoy our sport at a good price. The more we save the more money we have to spend time in the field.

The only thing we like better then that is FINALLY getting a Christmas gift that doesn't SUCK a**!:tongue2:

Castincowboy 12-02-2008 09:41 PM
