P-Mag rivet. Failure to eject.
Looking for some insight.
I shoot a DDM4-V11, I have noticed when practicing 3 gun style drills that eventually the aluminum rivet starts to get damaged and beat up from slamming it into the mag well so often. Eventually it gets slightly mushroomed and causes a failure to eject because of the added resistance. It's quite the **** off actually. Then when I grind it smooth it looks like I'm "tampering"... Is there any other way to "Mechanically pin" a 30rnd pmag to a legal 5 that the police will accept? Sent from my SM-G930W8 using Tapatalk |
Just thinking out loud and don't know the legal ramifications, but aren't some "pinned" internally, o ly goes down so far then hits a block? Also, wonder if a steel rivet would better resist the abuse.

Kinda like a magblock as required in certain States.

The pmag I've seen has a crimp so it will only hold five.

I usually just hit them with a file or some sandpaper wrapped around a hard object. If you think the river won’t hold up to filing your only choice is to drill it out and re-rivet.
