certificates

What are we supposed to do if our certificate gets damaged, I mean we spent a billion dollars, you would think that we would at least get them laminated:evil

Certificate Photocopies

You can laminate, photocopy, shrink, scan your PAPER registration certificates. I've copied and shrunk mine so that common groups of guns I carry hunting are all copied onto a single sheet. There's no legal problem with doing that and anyone that says you can't is wrong.
There are two conditions, the certificate must be legible and an Officer can demand you produce the original for use as evidence.

Registration Certificate Police Bulletin

Found the bulletin for Police Number 44 that explains to them about registration certificates. Have a look at the part about photocopies.
