Yah. The Greens are certainly a wrench in the gears for an outcome but I'd think that the NDP/Greens would be the parties that suffer vote splitting.

It's too close to call between the Libs and NDP.

It's going to be an interesting night tomorrow. I'll be watching closely.

Safe bet, with no conservative MLA sitting right now and no conservative running for premier. I doubt any of the 30 libertarians running will defeat liberals, ndp or greens.

The BC economy is quite strong, low unemployment, in this situation usually existing bunch will get voted back in to power. We need Clark to keep pipeline on track.

In spite of their name, the BC Provincial Liberals are essentially the small 'c' conservative party in BC. Officially, the BC Liberals are a 'centrist' party, but truth be known, they sit slightly 'right' on the political spectrum (unlike the federal Liberals).

Having recently moved from Alberta to BC, I've had to re-learn and adjust my 'provincial' politics, as the BC Conservative Party has been a backwater and fairly disorganized for many years now. In most parts of BC, the provincial Conservative Party doesn't even exist (including my riding). This time around they are only running a total of 10 candidates, and none have much hope of winning; http://bcconservative.ca/

As an Albertan the Liberals are the only option. The social licence for the pipeline (Carbon tax, oil sands cap, ect.) is an absolute failure, the NDP in BC don't even support the NDP in Alberta, just B.S. to get more tax.

So NDP is right?

They have one of the lowest unemployment rates in Canada and their economy is actually doing half decent. If they vote in the NDP after seeing the train wreck in Alberta, they get what they deserve.

Wow, tough when your only realistic choice is between the NDP and the Christy Liberals.... Which option will hurt less?

In spite of what some folks think, there is no 'perfect' choice in most elections (even in Awberda).

Voting is about choosing the lesser of the evils. Choose wisely! :)

We need more NDP support on our western border. :)
Then if we could get rid of Brad Wall, and replace him with orange, the destruction of Alberta’s economy would be completed and we could get on with singing Blowin’ in the Wind and growing Quinoa.

I just got back from the voting station, and doing my civic duty.

Voting is described as "heavy" during the day, but that could mean any number of things. There's three more hours to go before they close the voting stations.

The problem is, just like federally (with Ontario and Quebec), most of BC population is located on the Lower mainland and Vancouver Island, which is where most of the NDP pipe smokers reside.....and the Greens as well.

The rest of BC, where most of the working for a living in the dirt people reside, get to watch the latte sippers make decisions for the rest of us, yet wait for the taxes those big bad miners, oil and gas and logging people pay to support $10 day care and no tolls on bridges. They also want to stop the grizzly hunt and stop Kinder Morgan......

In the end, I think the Libs will win a minority, yet there is a little whisper in the back on my mind that is saying that it will be just like the Federal and Alberta Election and ....no so much vote the NDP in, more of a vote Chesty out.....I really hope that little whisper is wrong!!!

Well, I think that we in the Cariboo(and everywhere else outside of the GVRD)should help pay the tolls on the bridges so people can travel a bit more cheaply. While we're at it, we should start paying transit taxes on fuel purchases. Maybe then it'll level the playing field. Gawd, I hope The NDP don't get in....:angry3:

I'm sitting here watching the polls. I can't believe that the people of bc are even thinking about voting ndp after what stupidity the people of alberta hAve done. Wow.so sad.we as a country are truly doomed:angry3:
