I have not been this year , most years they plow as close to the lake as they can . The last 50'can be tough going for the first few down. then it's usually good.

I have never fished Dickson before. Would like to give it a go. If someonethat knows the place is willing to go. I will drive and bring all the gear we need. Shack, flasher, cam etc etc. Even cook up a hot lunch on the ice for us.

I might be heading out on saturday. I haven't been able to get out the last two weeks, so I've got the itch.

They uaually keep the access right up to the launch pretty well maintained. Was there a few weeks ago and the road was excellent.

Are we talking just little pan fried Trout or are there some fish worth chasing in there?

gooner85 01-23-2014 12:27 PM

I'm thinking of taking my son and a friend's son there next Friday...never been, but these 2 kids are totally willing to run and gun, cut holes all day and explore....perfect for exploring a new pond.....

Most are pan size there are some 5 and 6 pounders but they are brooders and not something you really would want to eat.
