Waterfowl silosocks and silhouette decoys

I have been looking at getting some silosocks and silhouette decoys for the upcoming season. Just wondering what are your guys experiences with them? Are they best to mix with shell or full body decoys? Or could I run a spread with just silosocks and silhouette decoys? I'll be mostly going after mostly specs, Canada's and ducks in fields.

I like to mix full bodies, shells and silhouettes with a few fliers too. Trying some DNA decoys too, don't really bother with socks, but that's just me

I use mostly just Big Als Canada silos and have for a few years, and some snow socks in the spring season only.

Thousands of birds have died over my 12 dozen real geesepro 2’s..adding socks just adds movement!nothin wrong with that!

What is a real geesepro 2? I have never heard of these before.

There are times when you want movement in the spread, and times when you don't. Honkers don't like a lot of movement, lessers and specks and snows like movement. You need something for days when there is no wind, and something for days when it is a stiff wind. Silos are supposed to create the illusion of movement, windsocks need wind. Shells and fullbodies can be still or moving, and can be restricted in movement if neccessary. We've run all four types together, and separately, it is all up to the birds.

We use a few dozen socks to help blend in the layout blinds when the cover is thin. It’s really useful if there are snows around we can run a dark spread but bury the layouts in snows just outside of the main spread.

Having some full bodies is nice but the transport requirements to move a spread is pretty crazy, both socks and silhouettes add bulk without much transport penalty

The real geese pro 2 silhouettes have the anti glare material on both sides instead of the one on the pro series.
