Did he cut the arrows to long?

I got new easton arrows today and the guy cut them at 29 inches. My set up is 60 pound draw weight and 28 inch draw length. My friend stated they should have cut it shorter thoughts?

im at 55lb and 28 inch draw, and mine are cut 27.5. alot of it depends on the bow design though , and personal preference.

A lot depends on what you are using them for and the setup and ergonomics of your bow and the style of rest you use.

My target arrows at full draw are set to the middle of the riser....hunting arrows extend past the riser.

length affects spine....

hard to know depending on arrow spine etc.

I had a pro shop that is no longer in business fortunately, cut the arrows of an archer I was coaching because they were "too long" they were left that long to get proper spine and best arrow flight in a fat aluminum shaft....

SO!.... to me flight is more important than some guys opinion....

I am a 29 3/8 draw at 60# and have arrows right from 28" to 31" depending on the purpose, type of arrow, weight of point etc....

:D Besides as wise words above Also pends on rest...back in the day of the old springy or flipper rests arrows were cut at min 1" in front of riser...with full containment rests..one can cut arrows mid riser short and best flying long....I use an Ugly Cookie [WB] 28" draw- 28" arrow..was my sweetspot on length...
