Mule Deer Sheds - Typical Match Set

I decided to film all my shed hunts this year and ended up having a great hike one outing where I found a big typical match set, 85” single and my first Elk shed. Got me a little excited. Feel free to follow the link to the video. Hopefully it works.

Thanks for sharing. The heavy mulie set is nice. Now you will have to wait 3 or 4 years to let the place fill up with drops again. How much ground did you cover?

That heavy match-set of Muley antlers is what a shed hunter’s wet dreams are made of...

Thanks for posting.

I agree, 3-4 years was kinda what I was thinking also. I usually study the maps for a few hours and plan my routes when I hike. I covered 13km that day and was behind the binoculars quite often.

Yeah the mass is very impressive. Each antler is 3lbs. He would have grossed in the low 180's. His frame is a bit stubby not sure if thats the right word. What he didnt have in tine lengths he made up for in mass for sure.

Great vid, thanks for sharing that. Love that heavy matched set, absolute beauty. I also really enjoyed the coulees, makes me miss them a bit (grew up south of Lethbridge, spent a lot of time hiking around coulees). And then I remember what it's like helping a friend lug a big mulie buck out of the bottoms....while the wind is blowing gravel into your face.....

Nice job!
