Remington 700 recall

So my 700 is part of the trigger recall, they are sending me tags etc... To send it back, I used the gun all last season and shot at least 100 rounds out of it on targets with no issues, anyone else have this recall on the trigger? Just wondering what the process is like sending the gun back? And how long it takes? Do I need to take the scope off? Thanks for your help everyone:angry3:

probably take a long time, maybe a year or more, just had bought a new CDL SF, was affected by the recall, just put a new trigger on it, chances are if you used yours that much its probably fine, but still I wouldn't take the chance, and if you do send it in, take off anything extra on it. Or take it in to a gunsmith to get it looked over, would be a lot faster

Thanks for the input, any input on a gunsmith in Calgary that look at this fairly quick?

Long time. Info sent to Remington back in early February and i received an email the next day telling me they would send all the shipping papers. Still waiting for that to show up. :sHa_sarcasticlol: Bought a new trigger and have been shooting since May.

yea if your worried id just buy a new trigger, I bought one for my gun so I could go to a lighter pull and installed it myself, there's enough youtube videos out there to watch someone installing one, that anyone could do it.
You really don't want to send away a gun that could take forever to get back. I think my trigger was $140ish

Sooooooo glad I've never bought one. Use the use of your rifle for probably 6 months, risk damage, shipping costs, etc. Or pay your own money to fix their problem. Great options.

I have a 700. What is the recall for, all of them?

Willy here's the link you have to put in your serial # to verify

Pony I change Brett's trigger he got a hold of a Timney trigger for $180.00 it was not to hard to change out. There's 2 pins to tap out & had to dremel out a bit of the stock to get the new one in (not much to dremel out to make it work). Took all of 20 minutes for us to do cheers Andy
