Rainmaker rodeo is coming up in St. Albert, Leduc's Black Gold rodeo isn't that far away either.

Almost embarrassed to say I haven't been to either. I'm guessing they're both worth the price of admission.

Any other small town/local rodeos worth the drive?

May 20-21 Thorsby 60 km SW of Edmonton has a rodeo. Not the pro level. If you have any 6 to 12 year old kids the Thorsby Haymaker rodeo still needs some entrants for the kids wild pony event. Give the kids some real excitement. Heck, even enter the wife in the 'catch the greased pig' event. :)
