F150 Rear seat rifle storage ideas

Hello All,

I have a supercrew F150. Now that both of my boys are hunting we end up with 3 rifles in the back seat while traveling between areas that we are walking or hiking.

Wondering if anyone has found a decent storage option for back country use. Obviously our rifles are cased and stored when traveling to our hunting areas.

Thanks
Hilgy

I had a seat cover made for the front seat that had 4 rifle slots on the back of the front seats as well as one right at the bottom on the front just behind your feet. If you bench seats it is a snap, if they are buckets you can't do the front one, and the rear one is a pull over on each front seat that makes a one piece rear flap with the rifle slots.

You can get the bucket seat version like the picture below, or solid like the first one. I like the solid one piece as it gets the guns out of view and you don't have to worry about casing them while travelling.

Mine looked like this but was part of the complete front seat cover.

I did a gun deal with a guy recently, and he had a gunrack under the back seat of his new Ford.
He said he bought it online.
It was a one piece, carpeted "tub" with slots for (I think) 3 guns.
It was amazingly slick.
With the back seat down, everything looked totally stock and ordinary.
I don't know what the brand was, or anything like that.

Thanks guys. I've looked at the Du-ha storage options but with the factory sub it wont hold guns.

Dean2 do you have a brand name for the full length one you posted the picture of? Or a link maybe? That looks like it would work for me.

Thanks
Hilgy

Llbean, sportsman warehouse and Amazon all carry that style now. I had mine custom built at the seat cover place in Edmonton cause they were hard to find years ago.

I bought one very similar to Dean’s first picture from Cabala’s a few years back. It has 3 zippered areas for guns with the middle one being removable and best suited for a shotgun.

I've looked at these from Tuffy.... Just never got around to trying it. Have a coworker who has one and loves it.

Rear window gun rack.

Zuludog 10-20-2020 09:24 PM

Tonneau cover? I would put them in the box.

Since when have you needed to case a hunting rifle while traveling ? Even a rear window gun rack is still legal as long as you remain in the vehicle

You don't in alberta with a few exceptions like passing through a provincial park. Other provinces you do.

Provincial Parks are a given .... i would think... and this is the ALBERTA Outdoors forum...:):)

Yes but not everyone that posts here is from alberta. Also the question was since when is casing a gun required so obviously the park thing wasn't a given.

“Officer, it’s so my dog has a place to rest his head while I’m hunting.”
