Brass for 6.5 CM
I cant quite justify spending $160 on a box of lapua. So I need some other suggestions that will give me good results.

Star line.
They offer LR or SR primer pockets. I went with the SR for more beef in the case head, no issues with ignition at -20. |
How about $150? Alpha munitions.
What’s your budget? |
I bought Petersen from XReload online.

brass choices
lots of good loads can be made from Win or Rem brass, whole lot of hooey that you need Euro brass to load good shooting ammo....

There are several options available, what tolerances do you want, and how long do you want it to last?

I've been using Sig Sauer brass that I picked up at Cabela's for $40 per 50. The weights are all very consistent. I haven't had any issues with the primer pockets. It's way better quality than the Federal crap I was using before.

prices are gone up, supply/demand plus crappy exchange rate. 308 win brass is still not bad, only 15-20% increase since i bought. Paid 95.99 in 2016.

Depends what your doing? if your just going to leave your brass out in the bush after you shot your deer then any old brass will do...If your shooting little holes in paper then only the best brass will do.

Henry at Budget packages in plastic bags from bulk...not the usual Hornady box.
His brass prices are very good. |

Best deal used to be at BassPro at $47 per 50 Hornady brass, but they've increased the price recently to somewhere in the $60's. When you factor in that Hornady is 50 pieces per box, the Lapua or Alpha options (at 100 per box) is a no brainer in my opinion. |
