APA Archery builds their bows in Saskatchewan. Not sure if the manufacturing of all parts is done there for sure though.

Canadian bow

Are you looking for a compound or a traditional bow?

Apa

I was at their place and seen the lathes at work. They make their risers and cams. They have a dipping tank as well to apply the finish.

Nothing against APA but I have heard some awful things about trying to tune/maintain them.

I currently own two APA's and had another a few years back. I have never had a single issue with tuning any of them and love the 2 that I have.

Tuneability is one of the biggest things Apa has going for them. Nibal and his crew make great bows and the name keeps getting bigger and biggar (pun intended). I have an m7 and it won't be my last Apa.

Thats stupid. Theres a press built into it. How can it be hard to tune and maintain with a built in press... im joking lol

Only thing in that regard was the strings and cables needed to be changed right away as they sucked. Once you got sone custom threads you are good to go. That said maybe scorpion has upped their game a bit?

No idea, just relaying what I heard from reputable guys I know and trust. I was interested in buying one and he looked at me like I was asking to buy a Lada.

I am happy to hear that, I will give them a look next time I am buying.

johndeeretimex 01-09-2017 06:27 PM

thanks guys I had a look at them today and was amazed at what was in them. From the knife sharpener and the front handle to the gopro mount. Amazing to see that all this was in canada!

As an owner...

Not to take away from those that have likely never held/shot/tuned/owned one.. I find the apa very easy to tune. No press needed. I'm not a fan boy but I prefer to do my own work when I can. I've adjusted cam timing, lean just for the fun of it. Easy. After break in I found my peep was twisted. I put in the cam lock and inside of 30 seconds I had it back in alignment.

I'm happy with the accuracy I'm getting which is no better or worse than with Hoyt, bowtech, elites that I tried. To boot. When I've had questions I call them and Nibal is very helpful.

The gadgets like the sharpener, wrench and nock tool are just extras. It's still a good bow. Without that.

My thoughts.
