Which Therma Cell 450 or 300
 

Therma cell offers 2 kinds 450 & 300 .Need help on which one to buy,or do they even work thanks

Thermacell's work great! I had the 300 model for quite a few years before the it died. Replaced it with the backpacker's model which is better suited to our camping style although not great for spot and stalk hunting.

Good luck trying to get replacement mats right now, they are sold out everywhere!

Oh yeah they work great!! Won’t leave for camping without them. We’ve got 2 and have had them since they first became available. One is the MR300 and the other is the lantern style. Seems to me like the 300 works better then the lantern style.

Just a side note there is an Ad on Kijiji Calgary that a guy is selling refill packs on there. Packs include 12 pads and 4 butane. $28 for 1 or 2 for $50. Which is actually cheaper then Canadian Tire $29.99 each which are out of stock.

They work better than anything you could spray or wipe on yourself, awesome machines. Amazon generally has the refills. I find I run out of the fuel quicker than the pads.

I'm using the backpacker as well. The fuel cells last a lot longer, second season on this tank. You can get the refills at most outdoor stores or online. The small butane bottles are usually what drives the cost up. 2 small bottles are around $10, a small tank of the butane is $6. The pads come in a 24 hour pack and cost around $12

Just picked up a MR300. Will see how it works next range day [emoji6]
