Optics for bow hunting.

I just sold a pair of Leica Ultravids HD 10x42 because I picked up a pair of Geovids 8x42 HD B 2200. They are much larger they my old pair. They will be great for rifle hunting just not sure about them for bow hunting yet, seem a little big.

Thinking of picking up a pair of 6 or 7 power x 30(ish) binos , nice and compact, strictly for bow hunting and going with a separate rangefinder for the ground blind and tree stand hunting.

What are you guys using? Separate units? Just a rangefinder? Size?

I use a pair of Swarovski 8x42 EL Range for everything. I prefer to have the binoculars and range finder on one unit - less crap to deal with and get organized when you’re hunkered down ready to pull back.

I use 8x42 Nikon Bino's and a Nikon Rangefinder. It's always nice to see the deer come in from far away. Even in a tree stand. Once the deer come in to less than 100 yards, I put the binos away and just hold the rangefinder till it's time to draw the bow.
