Winchester 9422m 22wmr

Hey guys I was just asked if I would trade m high end scope for a Winchester mode 9422m (22mag) gun shows as 95% maybe better. It is beautiful and I don’t mind trading just wondering if anyone has and info or experience with them and a Canadian value on one. Thanks in advance.

Really like mine, shoot at least couple boxes a year. Kept mine open sights which is the correct thing to do! I think mine is worth $1000 Canuck, but it's not for sale. Maybe trade value $900?

Agree with Roper1, the mag in real nice shape goes for about 1000 for the regular version maybe 1200 for the XTR (has checkering little fancier wood). If there are marks in the bluing of any sort, pitting, worn bore or stock is banged up a bit you can easily knock off 3-400 for each model. Good shooting guns, the 22 MAg is more limited in accuracy by the ammo than the gun. Accurate for what they are intended to do, the 22 RFs I have shot will shoot as tight as the Marlin 39s I have had but not near what a good bolt gun will do. The 22 RF are more popular and sell for a couple of hundred more for each model in the same shape. I have a 9422 with outstanding wood on it in the buy and sell at $1200 in 22 RF, NRA VG condition.

When was the 9422m made?

They started production in 1972, mine for example is a 1975, and they stopped production at the end of 2005 when the factory was moved. The early ones very often had great wood in them but the rifle remained well made and of good material all through its production even if the wood on the post 1981s after production moved to USRAC from Winchester, was more straight grain and plain.

Worst thing I ever did was sell my 9422M. Best lever action .22 I ever owned.

Just to add to this posting, I got a 94/22 LR a while back at auction, and just scored a 94/22 mag and it cost me 1650.00CDN.

So they did go up in value.😳

Condition is huge. I paid $800 for a like new XTR about 5-6 years ago, sold it for $1200 , about a year later, and now $1500 is around the minimum for a very clean 9422.

So the question is what is the high end scope ;)

I have a 94/22 with the win-tuff stock. I fell in love with it the day it came in to the Canadian tire I used to work at (30ish years ago) brand new. Had some offers from guys whenever it makes it out of the safe & the last time I researched what they were going for I couldn't believe the prices. It's a beautiful shooting & looking gun
