How sticky? After firing, lifting the bolt cocks the bolt, so there should be more resistance.

smith that looked over the gun said that this stickyness is not uncommon ... idk but i think it should be slick and easy like all my others

Lube the cocking piece where the cam is that pushes the firing pin back

In my experience bolts always feel heavier when lifting after dry firing vs live fire. I’m sure will be completely normal when you actually shoot it.

If you want, bring it over, I had one like that too. Had to do some tinkering on the whole assembly. Previous Bubba adjusted everything out of whack.

Just a thank you to all for your input. Finally got it out to the range and dry fire it sticks, but after live fire there is no issue. Using a Sako peep i managed 2" groups +/- at a 100m with 165 gr and 1.6" groups with 180gr ... hitting the 200m gong was easy peasy.. will see how I do at 300m in the future... thanks to all...cheers...drw

I just recently bought a '61 Forester L579 in 243 Win. so after taking it to a range I noticed that soft point rounds do not feed well from the magazine.
