Wavy Edge Siding?
Anyone know where I might find this type of siding? It's starting to deteriorate on the north side which is wide open to natures whims. The rest of the building is in good shape. Not sure what kind of wood it is. it's been painted a few times over the years.

Awwp
All Weather Wood Products (formerly Cedar Villiage)
sells cedar wavy edge siding. Typically random lengths, or you can special order it if desired. |
That's in Edmonton BTW. I don't see where you're from.

Haida Skrill
Send a PM to my baby brother Big Zeke.
It was sold as "Haida Skrill". What that translates to from the lumber sales man is Sc*w you I will! Not a cheap product, and the old stuff is thicker than the new stuff they sell now. It is cedar, and probably not the best material to try and replace just the odd board, as you break boards that are old and brittle and dry rotted, getting the new one in place. Trouble is, it is not an approved siding any more as it is wood, and a fire hazard. New Code requires non combustible siding, like stucco, vinyl, or Hardy Plank. Maybe just bite the bullet and re side completely, and never worry about painting again. Drewski |

Thanks for the input guys. I think I'll go with the hardie board. And I think one end of the building will not quite match the others for now .
