Yikes.

I saw a couple of snapshots of that yesterday, did a bit of a double take on that one, once I realized what had happened there. Does make you wonder.

Witnessed a double charge of unique powder (I think that is what it was) in a 44 mag. Red hawk years ago. When he pulled the trigger the gun launched out of his hands and over his right shoulder-head area cutting just above his right ear. We found the pistol in the drainage ditch about 20 feet back in the mud. After putting a dressing on his head we packed up our stuff and headed home. Dropped all his gear off at home and took care of 8 stiches at the hospital.

He had the pistol sent to Ruger for inspection and it came back that all was good, the pistol held the blast. I don't ever remember him using it again and he still has it as a souvenir only.

Friend remembered that his 4 year old son came to help dad reload for about 1/2 hour and maybe this is when a double charge occurred.

Be vigilant and meticulous in reloading, don't have any distractions and take your time.
