Reloader 26

Anyone have a line on some Reloader 26 called all round Calgary and no one seems to carry it or it’s always out of stock. Was hoping to try out a lb in my 25-06 to see how it shoots quickload is saying it’s pretty good and I hear great things online.

It’s great stuff!!
I got a few pounds when it was new, now I’m almost out.

I’d also like to find some more!!

I’ll take 16 lbs if you can find some ! It’s harder to find than retumbo

A few years ago during the powder drought, I ordered a couple cans (forget what powder it was but not rl26) from Cabelas. I didn’t have to pay any shipping either, the only extra cost over shelf price was the wait time. It came in a couple weeks later. They’ve got trucks coming from the states all the time so they’ll be able to get it for ya.

I've done that years ago too. Order on line and they will ship for free to your nearest store - in store pick up they call it. No shipping or hazmat fees. Or order 24 lbs. from Higginson and they offer free shipping you just pay a $35 hazmat fee.
As for RL 26, I picked up a pound in Red Deer a while ago that was pretty pricey. Wish that Higginsons carried that line of powder...

Last 8 pounder I got was from Rainer Shine in Saskatchewan. Waiting for my new build to be finished so I can crack it open.

Have you tried H1000. The 25 cal likes it alot.

Both of them I bought last fall works awesome behind the 100 and 117gr booltiz...

The Moose and Deer won't know the difference when their Wrapper gets tagged by them. Ha

👍

I have not tryed that yet. I have tryed hybrid v100 but have yet to find any rifle bullet combo that likes that powder. so far the 25-06ai loves h4831sc with 100gr bullets. It didn’t not like reloader 16 at all but reloader 16 did produce the fastest speeds with the worst groups so I had to go back to the usual suspects h4350 and h4831. I’m only interested because quick load lists it as one of the top powders so I was hoping to see if there would be any gains or if it would be a repeat of reloader 16. I have tryed a little bit of ram shot hunter and was able to produce sub moa groups with nosler partitions that never shot well in my rifle with other powders but that powder was given to me in a very small amount and I used it up as fire forming loads.

The best powder in the world isn't much good if you can't get it. Years ago I developed a couple of loads using Reloader make of powder. I went back to get a larger quantity and they had none in stock and no ETA. Ended up having the redevelop the load with 4350.. The Reloader line of powder has been so hard to get on a regular basis ever since that I switched to IMR and H powders in all my guns.

As much as I like the Reloader, unless you are prepared to buy enough to wear out that barrel you will most likely end up needing to redevelop a load with powder you can get when you run out of the Reloader 26. I would only work up a load with it if you can put 20 Lbs of it on lay away to pickup as soon as you are happy with the load.

I am a big believer in the Reloder powders. I buy some when ever I find it, especially if it is on sale. Never let myself run out, and likely have more RL17, RL19 and RL22 than I can ever use. I am going to try RL15 in my 375H&H.

BTW, H870 was an awesome powder in the 25-06 with 120gr bullets. Unfortunately they discontinued it.

Retumbo shot very well in my .25/06 with the 115BT.

I bought a bunch of reloader 17 a month ago from Hummason. 40$/lb.
I don't use Rl 26 so I didn't ask if they had any.
Most Alliant powder is more common now than it was 10 yrs ago.
