Red Deer Shooting Center Cerakote
 

Just wondered if anyone has used them for cerakote on a rifle? Or if you have anyone you’d recommend?

No experience at all with it, but plan on trying it within the next two months. I'm rebarreling and old Model 88 Winchester. It was easier and cheaper to get a stainless barrel instead of chromoly. So will Cerakote everything when done instead of blueing. I had a really good chat (via email) with Devon at www.blackboxcustoms.com in Calgary. After reading reviews of their work, and speaking to him I'll give it a shot...... will post the results on the build thread

I'd highly recommend them! they have a top notch set up and unlike alot of places that offer cerakote they are factory trained by Cerakote to apply it. They do a top notch job. I personally won't go anywhere else for it.

No idea on their work, but another option is Bob at custom gunworx east of Rocky. Does a fantastic job.

I've seen some of their work and I really liked how it looked so I now have 2 rifles in getting Cerakote done by them. They should have them finished by early next week. If my rifles come out looking like the ones I saw, I'll be very happy.

Just got my rifles back and RDSS did an awesome job. This was done in the new Elite line of Cerakote.

What did the rifle cost you to have done? I checked out there website and couldn’t find any further information.

Sent them down with a Blue Chip Precision order. Will let you know once I get my invoice.

$250 for barreled action
$300 for barreled action with extra's (bottom metal, bolts, picatinny rail)

I used section 8 in Lethbridge. He did 2 of my Kimber Montana’s for $400. Jessie does excellent work.

$200 per semi auto? Thats really cheap, he must be working for peanuts.
Did you disassemble and send down only the parts you wanted coated?
Or was he required to strip and reassemble for that price.

Jay and the guys down there are absolute masters of their craft, they do a great job on Cerakote and Stippling.

There are a lot of guys out there doing it, but overall from what I have got done and seen, my work goes to them every time - I get on average 1-2 builds done a month through them (for my shop, not personally)
