Gunsmith that install AICS-Compatible DBM

Hey guys,

Do you guys know any gunsmiths in Edmonton that install AICS-Comptaible DBM?

This is the DBM I'm looking at:

https://www.atlasworxs.com/collectio...t3-long-action

Thanks

Not necessarily, no.

My son's rifle required a lot of inletting to get his to fit, same one you are looking at. It would have been a real hack job with a screwdriver. GitRDone did mine but he is near High River.

Not this one, I talked with the owner of the website. And I was told I need to have the stock inletted and have 1mm of the trigger housing shaved off in order to install the DBM of this particular brand.

That's why I'm asking if a gunsmith around Edmonton Area is able to install this.

Probably would be pretty easy for rod henrickson ( think that's his name , haven't used his services in a long time ) , someone here's got his number , he'd prolly do that before his first cup of coffee.

He pops right up if you Google gunsmith Edmonton. (780) 455-3006

Don't expect a lot of smiles or friendly banter with Rod but he knows what he's doing. Cash only so come prepared.

Is that Karl?

Rod Henrickson is great at that kind of stuff. I wouldn't choose him to build a gun, but that stuff is up his alley. I don't know anything about the guy in the mall.

If you have not yet purchased the DM bottom metal ... and are looking to get KSA to do the install ... you may want to take a look at the bottom metal they manufacture. I have a couple of sets that I use on my hunting rigs. Their bottom metal is light weight and takes HS Precision magazines. (I prefer their bottom metal over the HS as it is a better design.). Sometimes, just installing the DM set is no guarantee that it will function well ...the remedy is often as simple as tinkering with the lips on the magazine...or as complicated as changing the feed ramp angle. If thinking of KSA, recommend a call first.

Don’t think so ... Rem 700 compatible... my bad if the OP was referring to Tikka, I didn’t read the link.

KS arms DBM won't fit on Tikkas unfortunately, Rem models or similar models only. If, however, they can do installations, then that would be nice.

Rod did the bottom metal on my nephews Tikka. Turned out good.

how so ?

(I prefer their bottom metal over the HS as it is a better design.)

KS copied the HS precision stainless model but left out the ejection / stabilizing springs on each side of the mag. Coping is the best form of flattery mind you.

The mag release on my gen 1 HS bottom metal inside the trigger guard is awkward and sometimes needs a bit of a fight to get to work. KSA release protrudes more and is much easier to operate.
