Thinking of upgrading

Hello am currently shooting a 07 Bowtech Tomkat at about 55 pounds with 400 g power flights. I like my current bow but was thinking about buying a reign 6 after shooting it at a shop. Wondering if i'd really gain that much with the newer bow or maybe I should just looking into maybe buying some better arrows for my Tomkat? Thanks

Really depends on what you are expecting to gain. If you’re accurate, and comfortable shooting your current rig, I would stick it out for this season and wait till the bow season is over to get a new bow. You need time to get used to the new bow. As John Dudley says, “every time you change anything, you change everything”. As for performance, you will definitely see a difference. The Tomkat, was bowtechs entry level bow back then. The reign was last years flagship bow. Build quality will be much different. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed! Good luck with whichever you decide!

I currently shoot a Reign 6 and I am very happy with it. I would say you are due, go buy it and enjoy.

Thanks for the replies. Went back yesterday and it had sold. Shot a few Mathews felt the Bowtech was a bit smoother of a draw. Still on the search now once you shoot a newer bow it really makes you want to buy one!

Jimbows likely has a few Reigns available in either Edmonton or Calgary, if not they can get them.

Ended up buying a Mathews halon 6 really nice to shoot. I think the bowtech was a little smoother but really happy with my choice.
