Looking to buy a new set up for Salmon

I am an avid flyfishing who would like to get another flyrod that would be appropriate to use in BC, fishing streams and rivers for 10+ pound salmon.

Any recommendations on Fly Rod Weight and Reel?

Thanks!

8 weight seems to be right down the middle, enough rod and not too much. You would likely to better with a large arbor reel. Okay if you get a regular sized one but it would be challenging.

I've only fly fished for salmon on one trip out to Bella Coola, but we were using 8 weights for chum up to about 15 pounds or so, and 6 weights for pinks up to about 5 pounds, both set ups seemed to work decent enough.

I am fishing now in the river estuaries of Haida Gwaii for pinks using a 6 wt rod. But I have also a 9 wt for coho and a 10 wt spay cast. The last one I've never fished before. I like a 1 or 2 wt heavier line for longer distance casting. In the rivers itself I use a 6 wt rod with a 6 wt line.
My lines are all floating ones.
