Rainbow or Brown?
 

Caught this morning. Thought it was a brown at first but red stripe on side very clear when he turned. Spots say brown but stripe says rainbow. Not super clear in picture but red can be seen just above lateral line.

No doubt, it is a brown.

Didn't know brown could have red stripe. No halos on spots either. You have to zoom in on picture to see the red. Very clear and bright when I caught him. He flopped back into river right after I got hook out. Wish I had gotten more pictures. Very unique.

Brown. Sometimes the haloes are harder to see in photos, but the size of the spots, no spots (or few spots) on tail, the fins, squarish tail, the color, the golden cheek, all 100% brown.

Agreed Brown Trout. It had a very clear red "glow" to upper line. Maybe it got coloured by some bow river contaminate lol :sHa_shakeshout:

Mystery Solved
 

I figured it out lol. Must have been a red sunrise behind me reflecting off fish. Timing is right but I never turned around to see it.
