What are we hunting for again?

Stinky Coyote 08-31-2007 07:56 AM

We've all heard about those giant trophy two pointers! I'll go with a 8-9 for my guess...would need more pictures and angles to really determine forsure though.;) :D

lgu5 08-31-2007 07:58 AM

You may need my assistance to score that! lol

High_N_Wide 08-31-2007 08:31 AM

I would give that specimen an 8 ,

If ya get what I'm sayin!!!

shooter 08-31-2007 08:38 AM

i'm going to have to say D or DD.... i could be a little low on the gross though...lol

Rackmastr 08-31-2007 08:49 AM

She needs to loosten her bow hand and her wrist sling and work on that a bit....definatly grippin the bow a bit hard...

Oh and she needs to kick a few of the leg-humpers off....seriously.....

Having had some experience with those in the past then i'm gonna agree with you...probably big D...about 500 cc's each...after a few more looks i think they may approach 600 cc's and in that case would get into DD territory forsure.

Batman 08-31-2007 09:47 AM

And you think it hurts if the string catches your forearm...

Poor girl having to wear her smaller sisters hand-me-downs!

Redfrog 08-31-2007 10:48 AM

"Yes Dear!"

kluzy 08-31-2007 10:53 AM

"Score This"

You know, sometimes we all get caught up in the hype. "What would this score?"

Personally the score on this specimen wouldnt matter to me. I would mount it regardless. Sure it is going to have some deductions, they all do, but I could look past it.

Just MHO.

hunt_and_fish 08-31-2007 11:04 AM

Nicely said Kluzy.

I word of warning before pulling the trigger on that one. I would be concerned that the specimen may be a decoy. I can't quite put my finger on it - but something definitely looks artificial there.

elkhunter1234 08-31-2007 11:45 AM

gross 9 1/5 ... net 9 3/8 ....

Simpatico Outdoors 08-31-2007 11:53 AM

What the!

WTH,thank god were not in a three point zone!

700TI 08-31-2007 11:53 AM

Those non-typicals are so hard to score. I have a few #'s "bouncing" around in my head, but they are all preceded by $. It would be worth a stalk if that's your method of hunting. I myself would rather bait this species.

MuleyMonster 08-31-2007 12:08 PM

Headlights

I'm sure that a deer would get caught in those HEADLIGHTS for sure. If a buck came along she would not even have to be wearing camo as the would be blinded. I would say a 8-8 & 1/2 but not sure as a full frontal would be of great benefit.

-NDN- 08-31-2007 01:05 PM

another angle, to help with the scoring of course

thought for those having a touch time scoring, this angle might help you out better

Redfrog 08-31-2007 01:36 PM

Hide's already tanned, that's a bonus.:D

I showed "Yes Dear" what all you guys had posted.

She just said ""OINK!!"

what does that mean????

Stinky Coyote 08-31-2007 01:46 PM

Lol...

Well...after just a few more look see's and going back into the memory banks a bit then i'm quite sure theres 600 cc's a piece there...double dee territory forsure...i'll think about it some more and have a few more look see's and maybe hazard one or two more guesses later.

:D

GillieSuit 08-31-2007 02:03 PM

Still not sure......a few more angles would help

I think we all need a few more angles to make the final call on the official score.

ULTRAlite 08-31-2007 02:50 PM

Wow - front definately doesn't match the back...

and if you seen the face of this buck, youd think it got tangled with a barbed wire fence;)

Tuc 08-31-2007 03:09 PM

My Hunt

Dream Hunt: Somethin that would have no deductions...... Make the cheque out to who?.......

slipbobber 09-01-2007 12:40 AM

Almost makes me want to take up bow hunting again.

Walleyes 09-01-2007 08:39 AM

I believe those are them there artificial replicas aren't they ???? Hmmm still wouldn't mind gettin my hands on a set...

roger 09-01-2007 12:19 PM

thats all well and good, but a trophy like that outa be mounted promptly.
better get to a reputable taxidermist or maybe try on your own.
im sure she has some good qualities too, :scared:

albertadave 09-01-2007 01:46 PM

I would imagine the upkeep and maintenance on a trophy like that would be very expensive. Can't just hang that one on the wall and dust it off when you want to enjoy it.
