Bird house / camera
 

Was wondering if anyone on here has a bird house with a camera in it. Saw some for sale on Amazon I was thinking it would be great for kids. The price on Amazon is pretty steep though.

A ESP32-cam is an $8 2mp camera that can be setup as a video streaming wifi server with readily available and free online tools. Add a solar charged battery supply and your good to go. I use them in my home brew game cams. Free shipping from China has its time penalty, so I’ll buy a dozen or more at a time.

I have one at the entrance to my property. You have no idea how many trespassers I see annualy. Nothing fancy, just a plywood birdhouse painted the same color as the camera, but pull off the top and remove a regular game trail camera fitted inside with sppring steel backing to keep the camera up to the hole properly. when you know it's there, it's actually pretty obvious, but works great for both game and human trespassers.
