Coloured Monofilament
 

Hi all,

Does anyone know where I can get some colored monofilament. anything in the 12-15lb range. Tried the normal stores in Edmonton. Cabela's, crappy tire etc. and no one seems to carry any. Does anyone have any leads on some colored mono? Looking to use it as a transition between the butt section of a leader and a sighter in a Czech nymphing rig.

Bass pro used to sell red mono. I used 40lb stuff in the past to make San Juan worms. I ordered it online from the States. Maybe they some here???

Can always colour a section with a sharpie

Umpqua makes specific tippet for the purpose called Indicator Tippet. Available in some shops but not all. If you ask they likely can get it.

RIO sell coloured tippet in a spool. I believe Fishtales in Calgary had some.

thanks for the help everyone. I had a minute to pop in the fishing hole and they had colored mono in 20lbs as well as sighter material. I am all set!
