Let me see if the NDP and Liberals left me with enough money for this...... :fighting0030:

At 67 cents maybe I can get a dozen of them to stack the patties on one bun to get a decent amount of meat on one hamburger.

Worked the arches when the burgers were 25 cents, if I remember frozen to cooked in 45 seconds.

stuckincity 08-14-2017 03:13 PM

UGH!!

Please don't use "McDonald's" and "burgers" in the same sentence!

Went to McDonald's for the first time in years since nothing else was opened. Stood by the drive-through window for 9 minutes, I kid you not. They probably had to hunt the chicken first to make me a sandwich.

As for the hamburgers for 67 cents... Meh. Save the 67 cents. Also, it will be 65 cents if you pay cash :sHa_sarcasticlol:

Mr Flyguy 08-14-2017 05:13 PM

With the savings I can buy the extra large Pepto-Bismal!

Yeah mystery meat, haven't you heard? Kinda like Soby's sausages, you're never quite sure of just what critter you're gnawing on.

Best that can be said about McD's burgers is that they will make a turd. They'll do if you're in a rush and your options limited. But I do like their coffee over Timmy's and I kinda like a couple bacon and egg Mcmuffins and a hash brown for a road breakfast

I have marked it on my calendar, programed an alert on my phone and put a sticky on the windshield of my truck.

Excellent! I'll do the same.

When I was in college they used to have 69 cent cheeseburgers on Sundays.
My roommates and I decided we'd buy enough on Sunday so we wouldn't have to cook for the rest of the week before Christmas break. (Three burgers per person, three meals a day)
Nobody made it past Wednesday, except me. I ate their extras too.
I don't think I'd be able to do that anymore.

Mmmmmm cheeseburger......eat then sit for 30 minutes....get caught up on the forum!:sHa_sarcasticlol:

After watching the history of McDonald's and how the 2 brothers got screwed. I refuse to give them any money.

ETOWNCANUCK 08-16-2017 04:55 PM

That was awesome...

Cheap for a bite, may have to swing by on the way home :)

Reminds me of the 7-11 burgers we could get in the late 80's. Dirt cheap, not too too bad and you could load them up with way too many fixings. Great for the 2 am munchies. I don't know how 7-11 made money on those burgers.

X2 great movie but what a snake.

Bigwoodsman 08-16-2017 05:12 PM

I find those Micky D burgers make not only a turd but a great laxative!

Drove by the McD's here on the way to getting some decent food at Mucho Burrito....the line up for drive through was out the parking lot and a half block down. For a cheap burger. Of questionable lineage.

Glad I spent 20x as much for some good food.

Ah, but which part of the beef?:) Kind of like their chicken nuggets, a DNA test will show it is somewhat chicken I suppose.....

Actually McDonalds has quite high standards for their hamburger.

landowner 08-16-2017 06:57 PM

Not only do McDonalds use only Canadian beef (unlike A&W) they try to use beef from the province in which the store is , when possible. I have family that has had to use Ronald McDonald house. They are so grateful to this corporation.
