Are you still using Facebook?

WHY????

http://www.cbc.ca/news/technology/fa...-ban-1.3426644

And besides nobody really cares where you ate supper.

CaberTosser 02-22-2016 09:30 PM

Yes, my corporate website helps me put food on my table.

Talking moose 02-22-2016 09:46 PM

Nobody uses it anymore, Facebook is going bankrupt.:sHa_sarcasticlol:

^v^Tinda wolf^v^ 02-22-2016 09:47 PM

What is Facebook ?

Tactical Lever 02-22-2016 09:59 PM

Heard about this awhile ago already. I don't think the NFA is allowed on there anymore. Censorship and social engineering. Just a couple of the reasons why I will never be on there. They make mention of "moms" being happy about that??

They are fine with Jihadists holding machine guns and making death threats on infidels though.

What a messed up world.

rugatika 02-22-2016 10:02 PM

Never used it, never will.

Most websites and stuff are banning firearm sales. They don't want the liability risks.. Sucks for all of us responsible gun owners though..

Why would that suck? Must you sell guns everywhere?

I play Mahjong online all the time and there is no place there to sell anything.

Twist 02-23-2016 01:17 AM

Nope. Facebook is ridiculous.

100%, but enabled son to share pics from Peru with the family and keep tracks of his whereabouts. Only plus I could ever think of.

Grizz

I tried selling a gun on the Webkinz website and got banned. This world has gone mad I tell ya, yuk, yuk.... I can't sell my guns anywhere, anytime, anymore!! :angry3::angry3:

Scottmisfits 02-23-2016 08:32 AM

Go to a public government building, such as a hospital, and connect to their wifi. Now try and pull up the Bass Pro websites and websites like it. I couldn't believe it. Yet, this site loads up no problem.

GoldenStone74 02-23-2016 08:40 AM

What's that got to do with anything? Try pulling up a porn site on a gov't network. Or a gambling site.
What's your point?

Scottmisfits 02-23-2016 08:44 AM

It's the nanny state that many different websites and organizations are trying to take. That's my point. There's a BIG difference between a fishing rod and a mans rod.

Uhh...it's called "a business preventing it's employees from wasting company time on things not related to what they're being paid for"....nothing to do with gun policy.
And regardless...."so what?" A website decides not to have gun sales. It's not a big conspiracy. Kijiji has the same policy...you seem to have no problem using/supporting that website. :confused0024:

Scottmisfits 02-23-2016 08:57 AM

You and I differ on the public wifi spots. I think it's pretty bad that they block the website of an outdoors store because they sell firearms. Not on the employee wifi, but the public one.
I'm not going to argue that point, just going to finish off by saying that Internet nanny state is getting annoying too.

Sooner 02-23-2016 09:00 AM

Yes, Facebook is a good tool for me to keep in touch with the family and some good friends. That's about it for Facebook use for me. It doesn't really bother me that they banned gun sales. Lots of better sites for that should i get the urge.

way to much crap on Facebook, nobody really cares that you went grocery shopping today or over to Wal-Mart to buy a pair of pants, I personally don't have it and never will but I see people around me that spend hours every day on it, keeping up with what their girl friends are doing ie shopping at Wal-Mart or getting their hair done, they don't talk to each other just post on Facebook and then go through the rest of their friend posts and hit the like button 20 times and your day is done.

Me too. Also use it to stay informed about community events and playing scrabble. I would rather not advertise when I am home or gone from home for extended periods of time.

Oh, so sorta like AO?!! ;)
Lots of crap. Stuff others don't care about. Hours spent on it. Make a few posts and comments and day is done!!

You realize that you don't have to add friends to Facebook... There are some great outdoor fishing/hunting/hiking/riding/trapping...........groups to join very similar to this forum to join. ( with lotsa pics ). That's how I use Facebook. Great tool.

JB_AOL 02-23-2016 09:42 AM

Online social networking is changing, facebook is becoming more like forums, as in people are joining interest "groups" or pages, and can keep up to date on the latest whatever. Less and less people are posting "I ate here", blah blah blah.

I joined facebook recently, and have found awesome resources that I did not have previously, as in MTB trail conditions, etc.

bobtodrick 02-23-2016 09:44 AM

Never been on it...so no reason to join now.

tchammer 02-23-2016 11:45 AM

Not everyone on facebook is narcissistic, but 100% of narcissistic people are on facebook.......just sayin.
