A win tomorrow puts us with the exact same amount of points we had last year to the date. The team is really starting to play well, Hamilton has really found his groove.

Gaudreau 'Player of the week' in the NHL. 104th overall. Go Flames!!

Twisted Canuck 12-28-2015 10:08 PM

Wow, this thread came back! Yup, Johnny G is seriously putting on a show this year, he looks kinda like Kane...but better!:)

True, but he's still a relatively young player, and his numbers this year compare very well to Kane's numbers in his second year. Time will tell, Kane has been putting up big numbers for many years, will be interesting to see how Johnny does in the long run. It was scary watching him getting targeted by the Ducks (I hate that team!) the other night. Getzlaf gave him a big crosscheck right in the chest behind the play, of course he didn't get caught. Pretty sure Getz and Perry listen to Banjo music before games....they just look like they belong in the movie Deliverance.

Gaudreau is a great player. It will definitely be interesting to see if he can last as a small player. While Kane and St. Louis were considered small players, they were significantly heavier and stronger than he is. He really isn't all that short, just thin. Quite the fourth round steal!

He sure is electrifying, especially on a Flames team that otherwise isn't the most skilled or exciting team to watch.

That nails it pretty good. Hope he can stay healthy and maybe add some beef in the coming years, up his chance of having a long career.

They could use a win, regulation or otherwise. The points are one thing, the amount of teams they need to leap-frog yet another.

Twisted Canuck 01-13-2016 10:44 PM

Well how about that Sammy Bennett tonight? Four goals, hat trick in first period? Youngest Flame to get a hat trick, and put on a great show tonight. Was great to see him get the monkey off his back, and a good win for Calgary. Good on the kid.:)

At the end of the season no Canadian team is going to the show. I`m hoping the Canucks can end up dead last.

CF8889 06-16-2016 10:13 PM

Interested to see where they go with a coach this year. Plus maybe a goalie pick up with the expansion. I still have hopes for a good team!
