There's two second one is bigger but having trouble posting pics !

Teamprotz 03-13-2016 09:17 AM

Above pic is second one ! Thanks. Guessing mid to high 20's . Didn't measure . Wouldn't have caught it without the lowrance. Buddy had a 2lber and was watching it come up on screen. Another fish came up with it, cranked up to 80ft , bam , then lost it , but hit hit again then ran 40ft back towards bottom. 3 of us( kids were sledding not fishing !) caught 14, lost 7 , big 2 are mid 20's and a 76cm. Buddy broke another big one off at end of day , need to check leader more often !

Nice lakers for sure, smaller one I would guess 18-20 pounds, the bigger one I would guess 24-26 pounds, very nice fish, thanks for posting.

looking at other pics, looks to me the smaller one is about 16 pounds, the bigger one 22 pounds, a 40" lake trout is about 27 Pounds, Awesome job, was there much flood water?

lromanchuk 03-13-2016 12:00 PM

Awesome lakers Teamprotz. I think we were fishing right by you yesterday. Did you have a red and black eskimo tent and an all red eskimo tent popped up?

Teamprotz 03-13-2016 01:11 PM

Lots of areas with flood water but not deep or ice covered

We were on my Quad and after breaking threw the snow the water was above the foot pegs .Our trail looked like a creek the next day.
In some areas you can just see the water under the snow .

Teamprotz 03-13-2016 06:57 PM

Yes sounds like us. Got a late start , let someone else drive. Lol. He brought bacon and eggs ! My tent will never b the same.

Teamprotz 03-13-2016 06:57 PM

Hope the kids didn't bother you too much

Nah it was fine. They seemed to be having fun going through that flood water.

Teamprotz 03-14-2016 04:20 AM

It was just nice to get out , first ice trip other than 45 min at sandy beach one afternoon

lromanchuk 03-27-2016 09:54 AM

Hows the ice at cold lake lately? And flood water?

Thanks

Was out there on the 18/19th and I'd recommend sled or quad only. Lots of flood water as you head east towards the Saskatchewan side. Wasn't to bad around the provincial park. Ice was around 17 inches thick with the top 2 inches being white ice.

35 whelen 03-29-2016 08:51 AM

Anyone still fishing cold hows the ice

laker 03-29-2016 08:52 PM

Out there today. Lots of ice,no flood water and snow nice and hard. Driving pretty much everywhere in long and French bays.
