very good question and I am lacking in an answer........ well at least one that would be interesting enough to talk about......

but the way I am looking at things now, I am embarking on a new positive journey, starting a new chapter in life and see where it takes me..........

I was born in Calgary but moved to BC at a very young age (2) but still have relatives there........

We have a little piece of dirt and bush in the Cariboo region (5) of BC that we call our heaven

I havent hunted in Alberta yet but I plan to.... fishing in BC is awesome ... as much as I enjoy hooking a nice salmon or getting into some tasty rainbows... my passion is catch and release sturgeon on the Fraser or Harrison

marlin1 01-29-2016 04:05 PM

I like to fish the Fraser for sockeye and chinook when the run is good . Two years ago I got my biggest white chinook ever at 35 pound (estimate by guide) Biggest fish ever for me and first trip there after we spread my Dads ashes downstream . Like to think he led it my way :)

Hey you.....

norwestalta 01-31-2016 06:33 PM

Just curious as to what's the difference from a real southern beaver to a real northern beaver? Ones furrier than the other?

And thank you norwestalta....I personally don't know how a beaver taste (northern, southern, eastern, western) ..... All I know is they like wood....:thinking-006::thinking-006:

Born n raised BC'er here. Sounds like you're in my old neck of the woods. Spent 10 years in Abbotsford, Wife's from Chilliwack, and graduated from Mission.

If it's prepared right it is very good. Great tasting and less filling I always say.You are correct they like wood. Especially if I do the dishes. Lol

I grew up in North Delta but moved to the valley when I got married... My folks moved to Sardis until the Cariboo stole their hearts and off to 108 Mile they went.... Eventually that's where we will head too

Did you go to ND, Delview, or Seaquam? Grew up in Coquitlam and always seem to go through a Delta school to get to the Fraser valley's for volleyball and basketball.

BTW, welcome back. Liked your story about your Island elk on HuntingBC
