It’s a political chess game

Take turdopes minion mayor off the table vs don’t want to make him a martyr.

Let leftist voters suffer the social consequences of their actions vs not allow them to sink important industries

Let leftist voters get municipally taxed through the nose vs not end up provincially responsible for a multi-billion dollar debt

Etc etc etc.

Agree, should be a tax attached to left wing voters in general. They’d support it right? They love their taxes soo much it should really just be automatic.

A ratepayer in Lamont County started a removal petition against the Reeve and of course couldn't get the large number of signatures required in the short time given so he changed his tactic and sent a letter to Municipal Affairs to have an audit done. The County officials just made public that they sent a letter to M.A. that in short there was nothing to find in an audit and besides it would cost money so like ignore the request. Lots of Towns, villages, county's are getting blow back from ratepayers about how money is being spent plus the new land use bylaws.

What are you hearing on the land use bylaws please? The LPRT has certainly made themselves unpopular in lots of locales

Not sure what traderal was referring to, but a lot of counties seem to be using the services of the Green Space Alliance, a consulting firm that is helping counties draft new land use bylaws. They are based out of India and have no clue what life in rural Alberta looks like. They have wonderful ideas like requiring a development permit to build a barbed wire (or razor wire) fence. Last I checked, we don't use a lot of razor wire in rural Alberta... barbed wire on the other hand is pretty common and if a bylaw officer showed up here to give me hell for cross fencing without a permit...

Using a company from India to come up with Alberta land use bylaws!! Are these Reeves retarded? This is the problem with Alberta. To many laws.
Our Alberta advantage used to be freedom.
What does MD do? Basically maintain some gravel roads. Reeves should maybe get together once a month maybe to okay some building permits and that's it but no its like a full time job for them with endless bureaucracy. They should be looking for ways too downsize government. Not build it up.
Years ago if you were kind of slow and if you couldn't get a private sector job you could always go work for the government.
Now its just the opposite. Government jobs pay more than anything else on my rural area.
Most of these small rural towns would be bankrupt ghost towns if provincial government ever pulled out.

Sohi --- how much money went unaccounted for when he was Federal Infrasructure Minister --- millions.

He is as slippery as they get and no concept on saving taxpayers money. $1M of taxpayer money to reno his office once he got onto the big gravy train.
