Thanks for all the info. Booked the family in for Velas Vallarta.
March 24-31
Reviews seem to be positive. Will spend a day in PV but most time will be at the resort.

Speak to a pharmacist. They should be able to write you a prescription for Azithromycin in case you get the poops. Dukorol isn't the most effective but if covered by a plan, my pharmacist recommended taking it. Pharmacist can write that prescription too.

Wife always brought Ciprofloxacin. Saved her bacon at least once.

Nice! I am a non facebooker but my wife showed me pictures of guys flyfishing of the beach at the resort. I would walk up the beach some but may take a rod along.
Have you been at the Velas before?

Oh yeah, You can't go wrong with this one! Both food and staff were great, we have been checked in right away and the room was.. just...something else! :sHa_shakeshout:

One of the worst trips I have ever been on. Came back early actually as a few things went very wrong at this place. I will leave it at that.

In my opinion, I would not recommend this resort, do your research...
