https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZCa_ucHk3g Early in the thread it seems the 12 gauge is one method of magpie dispatch. Living in the city, a firearm is not an option. What are your preferred methods; ringing the neck, blunt trauma, drowning....oh yeah and I don't own a Jack Russel.... lol.. Cheers, |

I can’t imagine what the racket would have been like with 5 or 6 of those noisy birds caged when the dog was in there! |

When I'm not using mine, it kind of gets in the way. It would be nice to have an effective trap that I can stow away when I don't need it... |

Made a note to look for it in the next few days.... |
My dog does not like them. They tease the dogs and swoop and almost "play games" with them.
Every once in a while .... one of them screws up .........then it's quiet for a week or two around here ..... https://i.imgur.com/YjlqZzO.jpg |
Feed that dog a steak !!

Cleaning up my pole barn the last few days & spotted a crab trap I had when I lived in QCI.
Sure looks like it would work for Magpies.... would need a couple holes wired shut. Pick up only , if someone wants to give it a go ? (ie: free) |

Will have to make one. Had a crow nest in a big tree. I don't think they are coming back. But magpies will.
